Port Charlotte High will have a football player attend Marshall University, but it will not be Zach Hall.

Marcus Gilchrist, who planned to attend Florida International University, changed his plans and will attend Marshall.

Hall, who was scheduled to attend Marshall, had a paperwork snafu and is looking for another university.

The 6-foot-4, 240-pound Gilchrist recorded 63 tackles, 27 solos, 36, 10 tackles for a loss, 9 quarterback hurries, 7 pass breakups, 3 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries.

He is scheduled to sign with Marshall on National Signing Day on Feb. 1.

A 6-6, 300-pound offensive tackle, Hall is a two-year varsity starter and moves well for his size, according to former Pirates coach David Hoffer.
